Workspaces serve as customised dashboards, allowing users to organise and access their most relevant insights in a structured and logical manner. A workspace is essentially a collection of insights grouped into a unified view, making it easier for users to track key metrics and data trends in one place.
Importing a Prebuilt Workspace
One of the first steps when setting up Workspaces is to navigate to Workspaces -> Prebuilt and import a workspace template. This process provides a structured starting point for users, ensuring they can quickly access relevant insights without manually creating them from scratch.
❗Clicking on a Prebuilt Workspace item displays a sample of the workspace using dummy data. To view real data, the workspace must be imported.
Once the Workspace is imported, navigate to Workspaces -> Owned and click on the imported Workspace. Click on the pencil icon as shown below.
⚠️ Imported workspaces, by default, are populated with data from the default brand assigned to the user account. To alter the target brands, edit the insights and select the appropriate brand(s) from the brand selector below the query area.
Then click on the Query tab to view the natural language query that was used to create the insight.
ℹ️ By default, results are displayed in a tabular format. To alter the visualisation of the insight, click the Preferences tab and select from one of the chart options available.

What Happens During the Import Process?
- The system initiates the workspace import process. This process will take several minutes to build. The users data will be queried for every insight available in the workspace.
- An email notification is sent to the user when the import is complete.
Why Import a Prebuilt Workspace?
Prebuilt workspaces come with ready-made insights, allowing users to:
- View and analyse the individual insights within the workspace.
- Understand how insights are built, including the natural language queries used to generate reports.
- Explore visualisations and see how different insights are structured.
- Learn through example – for users unfamiliar with formulating natural language queries, prebuilt workspaces act as a training tool by demonstrating best practices in query formulation.
- Modify and customise insights as needed by editing queries in plain English.
This structured approach enables users to get started faster, gain familiarity with the querying process, and tailor insights to their specific needs.
